Welcome to the world of Plantes

I have started this blog in an effort to improve the condition of my feet. I feel bad that I really haven't paid that much attention to them over the last 3 years. To be fair I wasn't able to see them for some of the time. I knew they were there under my pregnant belly, I could feel them swell but I couldn't really reach them to touch or inspect them let alone pamper them. I fell they have become the symbol of me: tired, neglected, shabby and very used to getting dressed for practicality. No More. I am forcing myself to post a picture of my feet every day. I hope this will force me to at least improve their look which at the moment is less than appealing. I will also force me to choose different shoes more often. My poor shoes collection, and I do love my shoes, has been feeling lonely. My practical Fit Flops have been taking centre stage. Firstly out of need (only ones that would fit after about 6 months of pregnancy) and then out of habit. I do love you but its time for others to have a turn. Different shoes =different outfits (hopefully, that's the plan anyway).

Here we go. First day of the project was to document the ugly truth. Look away now if you are squeamish but I felt it was important to document all the hidden bits bobs and uglyness and man is it ugly. Hopefully this will become a before to an after any prince would be happy to place in the glass slipper. At the moment I don't think even the evil step mother/witches could come up with a potion to make your feet look this bad.

At least so far I have managed to keep the shoes rotating somewhat. Hopefully in the days to come all my pretty sandals can come out to play! Now off to moisturize, scrub and sand my way to better soles!
